Running for the flag...

Well, it is close to our National Day and it is time for us to be patriotic. To believe in our independence and guard it with our lives as our forefathers have did. It doesn't matter who we are, whether we are students, girls or boys, we have a duty to perform. We must show our appreciation to the ones who have sacrificed and dedicated their lives to achieve the independence for our country. UTM took up the responsibility and held a run for all the students of UTM. We also took part in the run and I am proud to be doing it.

The day started with us gathering at PPKTJ and all of us were expected to wear track bottom or long pants. After that, we were called to the Block N and all of us were given a flag. We will be running holding the flags.(That is hard work) Later, all of us listen to a speech and we sang the National Enthem. Then the run began. It was very interesting as people began to come up with idea like losing the pole and tied the flag to their necks just like superman. Jazilla was one of the fastest person among us to drop the pole and took only the flag.(He did while we were just getting out of UTM) The happiest thing that happened while I was running passed a kindergarden was that they waved to everyone of us that passed by.

However, one of us was unlucky as her shirt was torn while running too close to a fence. It was quite a run for me as I have not been exersicing for the past 4 year and suddenly I was called to run. Well, as least I managed to outrun several people. The run up the slope of Gurney Height was the most tiring thing. I still remembered Liyana telling me that it was hard as I met up with her at the slope. The good thing about the slope was that they provided water bottles. The run down was fun and dangerous. As we were close to our destination, someone came up with the idea to use a taxi. That person was TARMIZI and together with his accomplice, ARIF, they waved goodbye as their taxi passed by me. I was laughing all the way when I saw them. They were very smart except that they never did reach UTM. They went back to Kolej Kedua. Their reason was that they were too tired to run and took a taxi back.

I met with Syikin and Ammar together talking while walking. I waved goodbye and I reached UTM as the 10th person of the PPKTJ students that arrived at UTM. Later our picture were taken by the UTM's Photography Unit and we were given mineral water and nasi lemak or meehun. It was fun except that I was so tired because I used up all of may energy running.
